Type Alias: InvitationAcceptance

InvitationAcceptance = "pending" | "accepted" | "unknown"

Defined in: packages/identity/src/port.ts:565

Whether an invited person has taken up their account, as far as the provider can say. Three words and nothing else: no name, no address, no list of what is outstanding.

  • pending: the provider still holds something the person has to do before they can use the account (set a password, enrol a second factor, confirm their address);
  • accepted: nothing is outstanding and the account has a password;
  • unknown: the provider does not record it, or records something this adapter cannot read as either. It is not a refusal and not a "no": a caller shows it as something it could not check, never as an invitation still waiting.

accepted is not "signed in". Neither provider's management API offers a durable record of a first sign-in, so this is the nearest fact each one keeps; see IdentityProvider.readInvitationAcceptance for what each adapter reads.
