Govern

OktoID is a national-scale self-sovereign digital identity platform. This part of the documentation is for the governance authority's staff and for the administrators of the organizations that take part: the governance guide and the entity administrator guide.

Every action in OktoID is allowed or refused by a grant. Start with Organizations, persons and grants, which explains what a grant is and the rules that limit it.

To give an organization a place in the trust tree that anyone can verify, follow the tutorial Admit an organization and publish it. The trust tree explains what that publishes and why admission and publication are two decisions.

To give an organization a decentralized identifier that anyone can resolve and check, follow the tutorial Create an identifier.

To contest a trust decision in the OktoID sandbox, where the fictional Republic of Utopia is the trust anchor, see Contest a trust decision in the Utopia sandbox.

The pages here are arranged by kind, as About these manuals describes.
