Interface: DocumentFetcher

The port through which the verifier reads every published document. An adapter decides how a URL is reached and which CA vouches for it; it never interprets what comes back.

get()​

get(url): Promise<FetchedDocument>

Fetches one https:// URL. Resolves with whatever status came back, 404 and 503 alike; rejects only when nothing came back (a refused connection, a timeout, a certificate not trusted, a redirect).

trustedBy()​

trustedBy(hostname): string

Names what vouches for a host's TLS certificate ("the system's CAs", a CA file), for the line that reports a certificate this fetcher would not accept.
