Variable: AuditCheckpointClaims

const AuditCheckpointClaims: TObject<{ from: TInteger; head: TString; iat: TInteger; prev: TString; root: TString; to: TInteger; }>

Defined in: packages/contracts/src/schemas/audit-checkpoint.ts:117

What a checkpoint signs:

  • from and to are the first and last chain positions the checkpoint covers, both included. The first checkpoint covers from 1; each later one starts where the last ended, plus one;
  • root is the Merkle tree hash over the entry_hash of those records, in order;
  • head is the chain's hash at to, which is what ties the tree to the chain;
  • prev is the hash of the checkpoint before this one, which chains checkpoints to each other so that one cannot be dropped. The first checkpoint has none, and carries 32 zero bytes, as the chain's own first record does;
  • iat is when it was signed, in seconds since the epoch.
