Proof that one audit record is in the chain a checkpoint signed. An organisation verifies it with the checkpoint key's public half and nothing else: hash the record's entryHash as a leaf, fold path over it from the leaf upwards (RFC 6962 section 2.1.1, with leafIndex and treeSize deciding left from right), compare the result with the checkpoint's rootHash, and verify the checkpoint's signature.

It holds no payload and nothing about any other record but hashes.
