What stands where a did:webvh identifier's self-certifying identifier will be, in the document previewed before its first publication. The SCID is a hash of the first log entry, so it cannot exist while that entry is still being approved; the method defines this literal for the gap, and replaces it once the entry is made. issuance holds the signed entry to the preview with exactly that replacement (D3.3, as re-ruled 2026-10-13), so a reader of a first preview approves the document that is signed.
