Variable: IP_ADDRESS_PATTERN
constIP_ADDRESS_PATTERN:string
Defined in: packages/contracts/src/primitives.ts:264
An IP address as an audit record may carry it: dotted IPv4 with each part 0 to 255
and no leading zero, or IPv6 in lowercase hex groups, full or with one ::. No zone,
and no embedded IPv4: an IPv4-mapped IPv6 address is written as its IPv4 form by
whoever records it, so one client has one spelling.
The pattern parses; it does not merely count colons. 1:2:3, ::: and 1::2::3
are not addresses and do not match.
It is in the identifier vocabulary of 09 for one purpose: the setup service records
the address a sign-in code was redeemed or burned from (.claude/plans/setup-wizard.md,
DW10), on the day that address is the only trace of who was there. It is an operator's
address and never a holder's. Do not reach for it elsewhere without that argument:
an address in a chained record is personal data that can never be erased.
