Variable: SETUP_CHECK_STATES

What a check is doing or how it ended.

  • passed: it ran and what it checked is so.
  • failed: it ran and it is not. Carries a cause and remedies.
  • needs_attention: it ran, the step may go on, and an operator should read it.
  • checking: it is running now.
  • waiting: it cannot finish until something outside setup happens (a person signs in). Carries what it waits for as evidence. Not a failure.
  • not_run: it did not run, because an earlier check failed or because the mode does not run it.
